Frank, Thanks, I will have to wait to for my DH to come home, to give it a try. I can't even get onto any program to run the program you're suggesting. I'm hoping that my DH will be able to figure something out.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
I actually think that it's Internet Explorer that is causing the problem. As soon as I sign on, I get a message that Internet Explorer has encountered a problem, and will have to close. This has recently started. All that I can do is close down my computer. When I re-start it, the same thing happens.
I am now on my computer, but not using my screen name. My son does not use Internet Explorer, and I am able to sign on under his screen name, as usual.
Ugh......I have no idea how to fix this problem. Just hope DH has a clue.

My internet explorer browser has similar problems and I have been unable to correct them. I mainly use Mozilla firefox now- a better and more error free browser IMHO. If you want more of an IE experience try using Enigma as a browser.

I just purchased a program to fix Internet Explorer for $49.00, because I can't even get to open another program. Every time I sign on, Immediately I get the notice from II, that it has to close. No way to even install a new program. It just keeps closing down on me.
Of course, I can't figure out how to install the damn thing, and when DH called, he told me that I threw away my money.
Maybe he can figure it out when he gets home. I sure hope so......If we can figure out a way to install Enigma, we'll give it a try. Thanks!

So sorry to hear about your computer problems. I know there are lots of people here who are very knowledgeable about such things (I'm not one of them) but when I have had problems, I've used this forum Bleeping Computer - Computer Help and Discussion and found it very useful.

Good luck.
Thanks for the info.....I'm in a bigger mess than I was yesterday. Last night me and my DH tried to fix the problem. No luck! We removed AOL. and other programs from my computer, and made even a bigger mess.
I'm calling Dell this morning, and hoping that they can help. If not, I'm not really sure what the next step will be. Maybe Bleeping can help.

You may think you removed AOL but believe me when I tell you it is still deep within your computer.
I have found if you are persistant that Dell can be a great resource. It can take a while as they will walk you thru ( or TRY to walk you thru) steps that you have already taken. I forget how long it took the first time to get to their Tier 2 & 3 people.
Good Luck.
I hope the news is better when I get back this afternoon.

Thanks, I hope that they can help, too. I'm on hold with, right now. We'll see how it goes.
