Ah, come on folks. All I'm asking for is a magic dial-up to DSL gizmo.

I put my minor dilemna in the minor dilemna incubator and recently the answer hatched, hopefully.
The situation is that I want to be able to relocate Ole POC to the same phone jack that the DSL router is using, in our new Guest Suite/Business Center/Nephew's Room/Dog's Room. Right now there is a DSL filter/splitter plugged into that jack. It splits it into DSL and Phone, both on the same phone line, our main #. DISH is also on that phone line.
At least I think the DSL filter is not splitting the phone lines.
It ocurred to me that I don't want our dial-up, if I have to stay with dial-up on Ole POC, on that number to begin with. I want it on our second phone line, by itself.
So, what I need to do is put a splitter in that phone jack (like the jack where Ole POC and one of our phones are located) and put Ole POC on the second line, the one it is on now. I called CenturyTel Tech and they said that will work.RCI Member Since 24-Aug-1989/150-plus Exchanges***THE TIMESHARE GRIM REAPER~~~Exchanging/Searching/SW Florida/MO/AR/IA/Consumer Advocacy/Estate Planning/Sports/Boating/Fishing/Golf/Lake-living/Retirement****Sometimes ya just gotta be a dick
