Computer help, please?

About a week ago I began receiving all of my sister's email. I received about 40 emails addressed to her. Looks like everyone in her address book is getting her email. I told her about it. She thought that everything was fixed. Didn't get any of her emails again until yesterday. I called to let her know that it was happening again. She asked me to send her an email as a test with the remark "Test---If anyone gets this by mistake, please let us know. Well, another of my sisters called to let me know that she received the email that was sent to the first sister. One also came to me.

Can anyone help, please?

I cannot really offer a solution but it sounds like a trojan virus of some sort.

I was about to say the same thing.

Try telling everyone who is involved to go to Antivirus, anti-spyware, anti-spam, firewall. Protect yourself with Panda Security and use the free online scaner.

It sounds like a virus or Trojan to me too.

Some free help items that might work.

Trend Micro offers a free Internet virus scan of your computer. It will fix any virus found for free as well.

Also you should run a program to get rid of any spy bots on your and your sister's computers. There is a free one called SpyBot Search & Destroy or as it has been renamed re-named Spyware Stop.

You can download it and run it for free.

That program will not do anything beyond scanning unless one registers and pays a fee- not exactly free.

I am still working on this. Just wanted to thank everyone who has replied to my question. One more question. What is your opinon of Norton 360? Thanks again for everyones help.

Norton sucks. AVG has free a free spyware download. My guess after playing around today is that the pay for programs report many more spyware items than there really are. The AVG program not only lists all the items, but ranks them as to danger. It seems many of them are just cookies and my AVG scan today only showed one of 300 something that was high risk.

No solutions here but be aware of one that comes up "hi5". I got one from my niece...supposedly, as it had attached her "contacts" or something. She had sent nothing. Invites you to join her "friends network" or something like that. Have received several others from "hi5" inviting me to join their network. Delete them immediately!

Ever since playing around with those anti-spyware sites, I'm getting all kinds of adware and pop-ups. I though I finally cleaned house today but when I got back to this thread another "computer infected" screen popped up.
