Ya done good, Pam. And on your own, without having to have that teen help you. How satisfying is that?

Tony, I don't know how Safari came on this PC notebook but I looked at it once and it looked terrible so I uninstalled it. It looks better on the Mac but I have an older version. If you download Firefox 3, do you uninstall Microsoft IE or Outlook or both? I have no idea and I already lost one PC so don't want to lose this one too. What should I do?

No need to uninstall Internet Explorer or Outlook. If fact you don't want to uninstall IE, as you need it for Windows updates. If you are using Outlook for e-mail, you would still use it with Firefox, so you definitely would not want to uninstall it. Mozilla (creators of Firefox) has its own e-mail program, Thunderbird, which is optional. However, you only want to use one e-mail program.

FireFox works great, and best of all it is less a target of viruses and Trojans, but I have not liked ThunderBird over Outlook Express. I seems much slower.

Thank you somerville. I use Outlook Express for my email and I like it better than Mozilla and Netscape which I used for the Mac. They used to have Outlook Express for the Mac too and I really liked it but I don't see it anymore. I just use http://www.mail2web.com with the secure log in as it works anywhere and no signing up is required. Very handy when you are on vacation and I feel secure with it. I hope it is but so far so good.

Mozilla, developer of open-source Web browser Firefox, said on Wednesday it set a new Guinness World Record for the largest number of software downloads in 24 hours. Over 8 million people downloaded Firefox 3 in the period following its official launch, the company said in a statement.

Downloaded it this afternoon-easy, quick and very similar to Firefox 2.

Downloaded and using. I use g-mail so the browser e-mail is immaterial.

It might be your provider, because I'm not having problems at all loading pages.
