  • Windows Update Affecting Wireless?

Yesterday and today, every time we install the latest updates from Microsoft for XP, we loose our wireless configuration. and cannot get a connection This is happening on two PCs. Our only recourse has been to set a Restore point prior to the update. Of course, we then get the message updates are available. On one PC, I installed the update a second time, and lost the wireless. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Do you use a router? If you do, have you tried recycling the router by hitting its reset button after installing the updates? I have to do it every so often, and it always works ok afterwards with no additional configuration.

Another thing is to check and see if there are any new drivers for your router or your wireless connection.
