I'm easy on these pieces of equipment. As a matter of fact I've only owned TWO in about 12 years. My first was a Canon Multi workhorse that I bought used. The only reason it finally left the house was it wasn't compatible with Windows 2000. 
My second one was a HP Officejet V40. I've had this trusty machine for over 8 years and we've gotten along fine until the last 6 months or so. Today was the day that I just couldn't coax it past those error messages anymore. It doesn't owe me anything. Good thing I called the resort and don't need my RCI confirmation because that wasn't going to happen.
Today I purchased my 3rd all-in-one ( printer/fax/scan/copier). A new HP J4680. All the office stores and websites wanted $129 for it. I happened to go to HP's website and they had a $30 discount, I had another $10 off coupon and free shipping. Total? $97 with the tax. This one is wireless enabled too so I don't have to kick DS off the desktop everytime I need to print or fax something. Progress by default.
I figure it will be here when I get home from Newport.
