Help with Firefox

I recently switched to Firefox and can't seem to get it to open Tabs the way I want.

I'd like each link or favorite to open in a new tab, but they seem to open a whole new window.

Any ideas?

No guarantees, but here is what I would do.

Open Firefox, do Ctl T , 4,5,6,7 times as many tabs as you will use plus a couple for non recurring surfing. Populate those tabs with your favourite sites, the ones you expect to see each time you open Firefox.

Then go to Tools-->Options-->General-->and for Home Page select Use Current Pages.

The other interpretation of your question could be simply to go to Tools--Options-->Tabs, and select Open Links from Other Applications in: a new tab in the most recent window.

While I use Firefox may I recommend Opera to you which I use 95% of the time.

I went to Manage Bookmarks, then created a folder with my 5 or 6 favorite bookmarks, then dropped that folder into the tool bar folder.

When I choose the folder from the tool bar the last item in the folder is "open in tabs". All 5 or 6 of my favorites are then converted to tabs.

Go to Tools/options, and select the "tabs" pane.

Select the way you want to use tabs in that pane. Lots of options there.

It's still relevant and additional information. I use Opera too, but find it to be slower that Firefox for most sites. The main draw for me is the fit to page option in Opera.
