  • Ie8?

I'm being nudged by yahoo (my e-mail accounts) to upgrade internet explosion, which is my preferred browser.

    Anyone done it yet?

Any problems with Vista or XP?

Clashes with Trend or any other issues I should know about before I hit the button?

Yes, I commented on a thread either here or over yonder.

There didn't appear to be any conflicts, I and others thought it ran slower.

Here is the thread, was over yonder:

I was about to ask the same question- but I'm in no hurry to try it out with Microsoft's track record.

        3 computers

I've loaded it on 3 computers with no problems.

If your current version is functioning OK, stick with it until Microsoft corrects the issues they always seem to have with a ".0" version. Unless you are into installing the newest versions and playing with the newest technologies, it is always a good idea to give it some time.

            lawren2,

Hi, my name’s Feran and I’m working with the Internet Explorer Outreach Team to provide assistance and help answer questions people might have about Internet Explorer.

IE8 is the latest Internet Explorer, the final version was released March 19th. If you are interested in trying IE8, it’s best to download it form the official Microsoft site: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/int...?ocid=ie8_sm_a .

Also, the IEBlog: IEBlog will provide you with some great information about IE8 and its new features.

This demo site is also good to check out to give you a better idea of IE8 and see how it differs from IE7 http://www.ie8demos.com/tryit/.

            I hope this helps!

            Feran,
            Internet Explorer Outreach Team

              Thank you Feran.

I am holding off until after my upcoming vacation to bite the bullet and upgrade to IE8.

I can't afford not to have my laptop functioning at full power while I'm away.

I will update this thread after my return to let everyone know how it went.

Lawren, you'll like the "InPrivate" feature in the new IE8 Software besides many other features. The InPrivate feature allows you to have private sessions with your websites that don't tract, share your visits or where you go & what ya do or in other words, no more cookies, browsing history & temporary Internet files, that data isn't tract any more.
