  • ACK! I took still photos with my video camera and...

OK quick synopsis. Digital camera died & we took lots of still snapshots with the JVC digital vedeo camcorder.

Came home and went to Best Buy to get the PC Card & Firewire to get the photos out of the camera and on to the computer. Took everything down for the hardware install, and NO PHOTOS????

    WHAT GIVES?

I KNOW there is video and stills in this thing why can't my computer "see" them?

    Lawren,
I am not any sort of photo expert, but if you treat the camera as if it were another drive, can you "explore" the disk, and then you might see a folder that is there, and then you can explore the folder and find photos. That is what happened to us once...folder was created and "hid" the pics. It would be on your camera card. Go to "my Computer" and click the drive that is the link to the camera and explore it. Good luck.
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

Keith is away but should return midweek. See it you can click on all files. The pics might be there but the program might be looking for JPG only.

If your digital camcorder is like mine, the movies are on one kind of digital medial and the photos are are a different flash media. you may have to switch between the two media by switching between them on the camcorder.

        Hope that helps

          Every once in a while

I do "dumb blonde" tricks. It does help to REWIND the camcorder doesn't it?

So lots of timeshare photos and some scenery are now uploaded in the SW photo section.
