Computer Screen is acting funny

I am hoping for some input by computer experts. My samsung computer screen is not lighting up when I turn the computer on or when it has been on standby mode. I have to repeatedly turn the screen on and off until it gradually lights up. It helps to get a program on, such as AOL or my Google.

Is the screen dying? Or is there a way to trouble shoot it.

Did you check to see that all cables are tightly installed?

I once had a screen problem, and discovered that the cable was loose.

I hope you find the solution cheaply!
