  • Firefox... Where do I get it and safe for my PCs?

I keep hearing that there are issues with som eof my pages with firefox browsers... Personally, I wish firefox would conform with IE as coding for somethin that I can not see is a huge technical challange...

I am curious if those using firefox can advise if you just downloaded the browser and installed it. Have you had any issues beysides the fact that you see things that us IE users don't?

I have been told the following page is ugly on firefox...

    http://www.timeshareforums.com/sr_cl...php?do=ad&id=1

But I don't know where to begin as while I dn't like the small boxes and the way they wrap on the right the rest of that page was getting close to were I wanted it...

Now, that template needs to be started again as there is still ANOTHER update from the developer but I am not jumping in and changing the script right away as I exect there will be two more updates in the next couple days so I will save myself some time by just letting it go for a day

      Firefox vs. Enigma

I used Firefox in the past and didn't care for it all that much for some of the websites I have to use. I'm now using Enigma which works great for me. Has anyone else tried it?

I use Firefox as my primary browser, but I have a guick link to IE on my toolbar. There are some incompatibilities between Firefox and IE, and some pages written for IE don't render property in Firefox. I also have problems running some Java applets with Firefox.

When I have a problem, I open IE, then cut and paste the address into the IE address bar.

Firefox also occasionally hangs when doing mulitiple simultaneous file downloads. If I'm going to have more than three downloads going on simultaneously, I usually open IE and run two at a time from IE, while I continue doing other stuff in Firefox. I might run two more downloads in Firefox, but seldom will I attempt more than two simultaneous downloads in Firefox unless the files are small so that I won't mind having to start the downloads over again from scratch.

Its not ugly just requires a side scroll. I find Firefox great as my primary browser. It is so much faster than IE and it's easy to get comfortable with. If something causes problems, I just try another browser. It can be downloaded at: http://www.mozilla.org/

I've got the IE View extension installed and all you have to do is right click and select "View this page in IE".

Foxfire has some really great extensions that IE can't come close to. I've got Adblock Plus, Farecompare, AI Roboform, Tab mix Plus, Image View, Fasterfox, Forecastfox, Flashblock, and Ebay Negs to name just a few.

You're right firefox doesn't display the page well, it is too wide. Other than that is is fine.

              Hope that helps

Viewing the page with Opera provides a similar problem. However, using the fit to window width option on the lowest toolbar solves that problem.
