Necessary processor speed ?

Just checked out ESPN 360 and they say a speed of 2.4 gh single core or dual core is necessary to view online video. I'm not sure if that "or" is also inclusive of the 2.4gh speed. Somewhere down the line I'm going for a new desktop computer (have 2 desktops and a laptop now) and it will be a minimum of dual core, but at what minimum speed ?

Any new PC should be at least 2.4GHz. Single or dual core shouldn't matter but obviously dual core is a better chip (and three or four cores are potentially even better IF your software can use it!)
