This area is the vicinity of where the Columbia River enters the Pacific Ocean. Huge schools of most salmon species hold up just outside the mouth of the Columbia River before they make their run to spawn.
On the Washington Side there are a couple of nice resorts nearby.
Worldmark Long Beach WA. This resort does not have enough room to park your boat which is fine if you leave your boat at the marina in Ilwaco or Chinook. This is a newer Worldmark resort and is really nice.

Worldmark Surfside in Ocean Park WA. This resort has a huge parking lot and does have enough room for boat parking. Even though this resort is older it has been refurbished and is really nice. Another plus is this resort shares the parking lot with a golf course. So you can fish in the morning and golf in the afternoon.

On the Oregon side the closest timeshare resort is the Worldmark in Seaside Oregon. There isn't any room here for a boat. You can leave your boat at the marinas in Warrington or Astoria. If your just going to hire a charter for fishing then this is the place to go. Seaside is a really fun place to hang out.
