We usually stay at the Villa del Palmar, Villa del Arco or Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. All of these locations are close enough to the marina. I have fished with the Gaviota Fleet for the most part and like the smaller vessels Gaviota 2 and Gaviota 3 because I don't like too many fishers on the boat and the cost is lower. I have never been skunked fishing with these guys. We target marlin, catch and usually release.

I also fish with the Solmar Fleet if Im in a pinch. They are right next to the Gaviota Fleet on the north side of the Marina.
The reason I like staying on Medano Beach is I can get a panga to pick me up in front of the resort when I want to inshore fish. We target roster, wahoo, sierra , dorado and what ever wants to become dinner. I dont like the taste of roster fish or wahoo that much so if no one wants them we toss them back. I have caught tuna on the pangas. I do like tuna with the exception of skip jack.
