Recently I started looking at pharmaceutical stocks like NLNK and GSK. Then realizing that the one thing that will be needed by everyone will hazmat gear I was looking at LAKE who is the largest hazmat gear maker.

LAKE hit a one year high last week and is up 160% this month. Im not sure where it will top out but since Crammer says hold its probably a buy buy buy. Considering that the positive pressure suit is the only suit that can protect a person from ebola. The evidence shows that some healthcare workers wearing less than a type were infected.

I am soooooo glad I retired from my hospital.
This is going to be so expensive for hospitals.
I can just see the bean counters pressuring people to do the impossible,
their catch phrase "do more with less". Yeah right! :roll eyes:

Yes, lots of them. Just google "pharmaceutical mutual funds." Some of them involve a wider range of healthcare investments.

Vangaurd has some funds that are heavy in the medical sectors. Im buying LAKE only for now. The CDC just released a report this morning suggesting that they are changing their approach to ebloa. This could signal that the type A protective gear will be the norm when dealing with ebola patients which would be good for LAKE.

Another technology that I like is the ultraviolet light sanitizing equipment makers. While the FDA might drag its feet on this equipment for killing viruses in humans the rest of the world will have no problem using it.

How typical. The American attitude of never let a good crisis go to waste. It's all about making money rather than doing whatever we can to solve the crisis & profit be damned. Disgusting and so typical of so called Christian Americans.

Well doing whatever we can to get this thing under control is definitely going to cost money. Lots of money.
The patients in Atlanta had a 10 to 1 staffing ratio. That's big bucks for just 2 patients for several weeks.
And they can't take care of any other patients on the days they are assigned ebola patients.

The hospitals are not going to take care of this crisis without making someone pay.
The American people are going to foot this bill big time for sure if this ever becomes epidemic.
Universal precautions were already being practiced in the hospital I retired from and many
days we didn't have enough gowns because the bills weren't being paid. We were constantly
on credit hold with critical supplies. Nobody cared that patients were being cross contaminated
higher up the food chain. It was just a blame game on the staff for spreading it.

Same will happen with ebola if they don't get permanent emergency funding for staffing and supplies.
Profits will be made regardless of how we view this crisis.
It's not a Christian problem but a worldwide problem.
In any culture around the world this is going to overwhelm resources.
Did you see the special on Discovery Health the other day about how Liberia is dealing with this?
They have extremely limited resources and the disease is spreading like wildfire.
Surprisingly the doctors willing to work with these patients are all Christians.
