There was a drone droning around our dock last summer, but I didn't know how to catch it.

I was able to see it for about a Sec and it is a DJI Phantom 3 Pro with 4k. It is a bit pricey. I sell them but I know that you can get something not so expensive. The one in the video goes for about 800 to $900, You can get it used for about $700-$750. I get store demos for the used price and they are new just opened boxes.. My favorite drone is a Yuneec q500 4k but it is big, Makes the DJI look like a midget, I love the Blade Chroma, It is so easy to fly and it does not need a screen since it is built into the remote. That sells for about $500, You can use the same remote for the Yuneec and the blade Chroma. I supped mine up to go up to 8,000 feet, You can buy the kit which is only about $120 and do it your self if you are a little handy. I also have some nice ones under $400 and even $300

If you give me a price range I can tell you what to get. I am hooked, I can not get enough flying in. I fly right out of my yard

I can give you something that will work and have a good camera so you might be able to see the schools from above, But I can not help you with the rig to send it out. Look on youtube before buying to make sure you can make it. Btw if you make something good we can sell them 50/50 on the profit

From videos, it looks like a loop of line below the leader swivel would slide over a wire attached to the drone. The drone goes out with the wire direction into the cast and when you want to drop bait you turn the drone facing the fisher so the line can be pull off the drone. This looks like the easiest way, imo.

I do not think I will need a 13 foot pole much longer. What I liked about the video is you can see where the school is from the air
