This book has really declined in value of the last few years. So much so that I won't buy another one, even for $19.99. We bought two last year because they were "cheap". The one for Boston we were not able to use at all and for our hometown, we used one deal.

I suppose if you like the fast food coupons or searching out restaurants that may or may not actually honor the deals in the Entertainment book one can get value from it. I just find that the deal are fewer and further between and that it's just not worth the effort anymore.

It's a shame really. We use to buy one for every vacation destination and found a few interesting restaurants we wouldn't have considered otherwise. Some of them we return to every time we go back. I guess that to many tourist where using them and that didn't help buisnesses build repeat customers.

I find that I get $20 value from the Safeway coupons, anything above that is gravy.

Don't need any . . . still have gravy left over from Thanksgiving.

DW got one for Springfield/Branson last year and I don't believe we used anything.

there are quite a few I can use in the Estero/fort Myers area, plus the fast food ones, plus the movie coupons which I will pass on to my daughter when theya re here. then when I go back to Wisonsin, I can use the card for one or two places. So for $20 I'll do it, for $35 I won't.

We have used the car rental coupons and have save over 150.00 each year over the last two. 300.00 savings $50.00 cost 250.00 saved. Other than that no other bargains for us to use.

We typically get several times what we've paid for the book in value. For Boston, we ended up buying 3 books for each of the last 2 years. So far this year we haven't used a single coupon yet. I know I will get at least the money spent at full price back from places we like.

When we went to Santa Fe/Albuquerque, we didn't use the book as much as we had hoped, but since I bought it at a discount, we did get more than our money's worth.

We went to the Rattlesnake Museum in Albuquerque because we had a B1G1 coupon from the book. I guess I'm a weird female. I also held a big snake at the science museum in Albuquerque and I was fascinated by all the tarantulas crossing the road past Taos.

We tend to only use the movie coupons. Since we can get those at Costco I think I won't buy a new book this year.

Thanks for the post. I agree, qulaity has declined -- but -
Ordered one for our local area -- as a previous poster said, @$20 we make the money back from the coupons from our local supermarket (Shoprite). Anything above that is extra savings.

Also checked the one for our vacation destination - Vermont. At $15 for the second book, we saw enough to make it worth while for us, and then we plan to give it to a timeshare employee friend after our vacation.

You've got to be careful with those rental car coupons. Sometimes if you run the coupon code, then look for a rental car without the coupon, you may find the "discounted" rate higher than their best rate. Same with the 50% off hotel rooms and the airline ticket discounts.

About 2 years ago we went to a local pizza/pasta place that used to have coupons in the entertainment book. I asked the owner why his restaurant didn't have the coupons in there anymore and his reply was that it was always free for businesses but they started to charge $150 so he said no thanks and that was it. He didn't like that they were charging businesses since they make their money on the sales of the book.

We never bought it again. The book got so thin and a lot of the coupons in our book weren't even for our area (like Las Vegas! and we live in Central california). We find our coupons in other ways now like local books put out by local groups.
