DRI stands for Diamond Resorts International, a TS group with holdings throughout the world. Some people with DRI still have weeks-based ownership. Others have points. You buy points and trade them for two or more days at a TS. It gets complicated because the number of points needed to book a week varies by location of the resort, number of other TS in the area, resort size and popularity and the time of the year (peak season is more points than off-season). Some people prefer points because it allows more flexibility (you can split a week up and often save unused points for the next year).
