First of all, I borrowed this from another forum. Secondly, it's valid, because I just got paid.


UnwiredBuyer.com is a new ebay bidding service that allows you to place bids on items via your cell phone (or any other phone). They are offering $20 in your PayPal account for giving them a try.

What the service does is call you when an auction that is on your watch list is close to being over. Then using your phone buttons you can bid on this item - which is what you have to do to get your $20.

All you need to do is sign up for an account and use the service to place a bid on any auction, you do not have to win.


Rules for $20 Signup Bonus :

To qualify for the $20 signup bonus, the user must register for UnWired Buyer and use the service to bid on an auction using their phone within 30 days. The $20 signup bonus is for new users only.

New users MUST USE UNWIRED BUYER TO BID ON AN AUCTION WITHIN 30 DAYS from date of signup. This promotional offer cannot be transferred or forwarded.

TO QUALIFY, USERS MUST HAVE AN EBAY FEEDBACK SCORE OF 10 OR MORE (or the user must have been a registered eBay user for over 12 months).

The $20 Signup Bonus is limited to one (1) per valid eBay account.

The $20 Signup Bonus is valid only to legal residents of the US and Canada.

How it works:

1) Find something on eBay you want to bid on -- add item to your Watch List
2) Go to Unwired Buyer.
3) After you login to UWB, sync with your eBay auctions by clicking on "Update Auctions". You should see all of your auctions that you have in your Watch List on eBay appear.
4) Wait for a phone call on your auction and follow the voice commands to bid by phone. They usually call within 3 minutes before the auction ends.
5) Get paid $$ via PayPal (goes to the email address you provided at registration)

Thanks Trish. I just tried it. I just happened to be watching an auction that ended a few minutes ago. How long does it take to get the $20? I wish I would've read through before I joined though. You could've gotten $5 for referring me. You get $5 for every referral who places a bid using the service.

That's okay about the referral. I didn't want to start a conga line. They're a pain.

Anyway, I did this 3 am this morning and received the money at 2:20 pm today. Another family member did this and they have also received their money, too. It states in the email 1-2 days but many people have reported in receiving their funds a lot quicker.

I'm not sure if I prefer this over sniping, but it does give eBay members another option, if they can't be near a computer. Plus, (for now) it's free..

Does it have to be a winning bid, or just place a bid? Also, do you want to start a conga line for $5 referral?

Nope.. You don't have to win the bid. All you have to do is place a bid over the telephone. Btw, it's completely automated and very easy. Just follow their directions and they'll tell you what to do step by step.

Do you think we should start a conga line? I've done many over at Flyertalk and they can get messy.

Just so everyone knows, I have referred someone (family member) yesterday and UWB haven't paid me for the $5 referral bonus, yet. However, family member has already participated and received their $20.

I'll tell ya what. Since Debi has already done this, we'll start with her. That way she can get a referral out of this deal.

So, Debi, if you're agreeable, the next person in line should PM or email her: Include your first name and email address. Remember, this email address should be the one you're registered with at Paypal. That way your money will go directly to that Paypal account.

Sure -- sounds good. That'll mean that the t-shirt I just won last night for my son on ebay, will be almost free with all these free Paypal dollars

I haven't done one of these "congo lines" before -- so, I just do a referral for ONLY the next person that emails me -- right? And, then that person gets a referral from the next person?

That's exactly right, Debi. So, if zdxlc9p6 can PM'd or email you with their info, then you can send them a referral email. Then zdxlc9p6 can refer the next person in line and so forth.

Got mine! I didn't pay attention, and didn't reply to an email after I submitted an unsuccessful bid. You must reply to the email, and the money was ther in less than 30 minutes.
