  • Wanted: New or used Resort Directory

We're in the market to buy a TS and have become dizzy looking online at the different resorts/systems/clubs. We're thinking we may enjoy the search with a book in hand. If anyone has an old resort directory (II, or RCI, or both) that they'd like to hand down, Id be more than happy and grateful. Can be current-about 5 years old. Willing to pay for shipping or pickup if in Miami area,

Why don't you just use the online directories at both the RCI and II web sites?

If you like holding the book in your hands (I also find a tactile comfort level in turning pages that I just can't get online!), you can easily stop by the Interval International office and request their directory.

The problem with the major exchange companies "wish books" is that they bear no resemblance to reality on what is available for exchange or when. ( Not to mention what you require to have as your ownership in order to attain some of the options)

In order to pare down the possibilities you should consider HOW you vacation. Do you take a full week at a time or are you more inclined to long weekends? Do you need to travel during school vacation periods? WHERE are you most inclined to travel?
Ask questions. We are here to help you out.

PS I'd offer you years worth of directories but they all got tossed last summer.

I also recommend looking first at the locations for the systems you are considering. Remember, you have to deposit your TS into the exchange system, hope there is something available for you, then pay an exchange fee. We initially purchased a TS for the sole purpose of exchanging, but find we rarely need to do so. In the 20 or so years that we've been a TS owner, we've exchanged into II only once. I have used their getaway specials several times. IMO, I think these are better deals than exchanges, and I still keep my weeks.
BTW - I believe I still have an II catalog from last year. If you PM me with your address, I'll send it to you.
