housebroken, nuetered & good with pets/kids. a very very nice dog.

Bearded are very low shed dogs. average 40 to 50 pounds. Nice medium size dog.

If interested let me know and I'll put you in touch with the family. They are heartbroken about having to give him up.

Please ask your friends to consider contacting a rescue group for this breed. If they don't know of any, I know some good ones for collies. I know they are different breeds, but I think many of the issues are similar as they are both long-haired herding dogs that require intensive grooming. They may be willing to place him.

We got one of our collies from a rescue group and they are very good about matching the right dog to the right family and making sure that the people know what they are getting into, so there is no remorse later on. One thing that I learned from my exposure to rescue groups is that they really discourage people from offering the dogs up for "free" adoption. They recommend that you request a nominal adoption fee, which can be donated to a shelter if you wish. The real reason for this is that there are, sadly, rings of people who adopt "free" dogs under the pretense of welcoming them as family pets when they are really planning to sell them for use them in medical research or to use them as bait for dog fighting

I know they are going through a really sad time right now, but they are to be commended for being very responsible owners by making sure he will have a good home.
