  • Free timeshare in Calabash NC

I have a timeshare in Calabash North Carolina that I'd like to give away free, no strings attached.

The name of the property is Marsh Harbour. It's about 15 minutes from Myrtle Beach.

    2 Bedroom / 2 Bath
The next maintenance fee isn't due until 2010.

It's a beautiful resort in a peaceful little town near the beach and a huge number of golf courses. We have enjoyed staying there several times, but we didn't use it this year and simply want to give it away without a lot of hassle.

You pay the closing costs and it's yours.

That is nice of you to offer this. What are the maintenance fees? Are there any coming special assessments? Is the mortgage paid in full?
"If a Nation expects to be ignorant and free in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.... If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed."

The maintenance fee is $635 due in 2010. The mortgage is paid in full. There are no upcoming special assessments that I know of.

Also I forgot to mention that it's a float red week on the RCI calendar.

I hope someone can use this timeshare. It's really a nice place.

Sagesmith also forgot to tell you that this resort sold Summer RED weeks as fixed weeks so Float Red weeks are 'shoulder' and will not trade exceptionally well in RCI. Food for thought.

          Just to clear that up:
Using the 2009 calendar we could have checked in any Saturday from April 11th - May 9th or Sept. 19th - Oct. 24th.

Here is a link to the calendar they use.

We were never members of RCI. We just stayed at the resort or let it go unused. From Spence's post can I assume that Marsh Harbour did something differently from other timeshares as far as float red weeks are concerned?

This schema is not uncommon but most people think that when you say RED Float you mean summer vacation plus holidays and as you have shown, that is not the case at Marsh Harbor, a great golf and especially fishing destination and beautiful during the times of year you can book. The RED Float is just not good for trading in RCI in my opinion. ( I used to own one of these weeks!)
