So did you get your 2nd week exchange done?

It's hot down here you know. Today I broke out a small sweat walking
the little dog. I even had to turn on the A/C again. I had it off for a few days. So much for the cold front.
No, not inside the window yet. Sunday will be the first day. There has been some really great stuff showing up. & the normal crappy stuff, too. Hopefully something decent will be the first to show up.

We're on the southern tip of that great midwest storm you're probably hearing about. Once it gets here, tomorrow, we will be in the teens and 20s for awhile.

Get your shorts and your flip flops ready. It's expected to go up to 81 degrees down here. Leave all those sweaters home, you probably won't need them. It's gonna be a hot winter.

Quite late to the party on this one. This is the best flea shampoo available:
        Adams Flea and Tick Products

I don't put much faith in the Skin So Soft to stop any eggs from hatching.

Please tell your friend to invest in Frontline as a preventitive. Whole heck of a lot less than having to deal with the problem if there is an infestation in the house.

I've used Adams before but since the dog is so small I was afraid to use it.
Anyway, it seems like I've got the flea thing kicked. I found one straggler this morning after walking her but hopefully I got them all.
Hopefully no eggs will hatch this week. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I am a Yorkie owner. Always used Frontline and now use Revolution which is for fleas/ticks/ear mites and heartworm . Although our Yorkie has allergies he has never had fleas.

You are right that you have to be really careful on what ones uses for fleas. I lost a kitten I bought at a pet store years ago who was horrifically infested and not knowing used a flea treatment that was too strong for her weight. It was so sad. The treatment attacked the Central Nervous System and the vet could not do anything to help after 3 days on an IV.

Yup, we got lots of bugs. Get ready. You might want to bring a can of OFF with you or some skin so soft. You know the West coast is full of sand fleas and skeeters.

                  PC Girl,
How sad for your little kitten. I'm a nurse so always aware of dosages and not wanting to overdo it with the little ones.

The dog actually weighs about 3 pounds. I put her on my postal scale. She really wouldn't stand up on it so I got a rough estimate. She looked smaller than that and feels like a feather compared to my cats. But still 3 pounds is about the weight of my hand so I don't want to make any mistakes.
I'm gonna just keep a vigilant eye out and rebathe her with baby shampoo and see if I got them all. So far she isn't scratching hardly at all anymore. Probably just scratching the old bites. At least I hope that's it. I do see some red marks on her skin but they don't look fresh.
