    Sometimes it's part of the student ID and sometimes it's part of a dining hall pass and sometimes it's a separate card, but it basically works like a prepaid Visa. The aggravating thing is that the money often disappears when the school year ends!
    Yes, my daughter has that on her card (it's called an e-card). Even some of the local pizza places around campus take the card! It's also linked to extra meal purchases at the campus cafe (not part of the meal plan), bookstore purchases and laundry. However, whatever money is left on the card at graduation is lost. I give her the AAA Visa card to purchase books and other incidentals over the semester. She can use it almost anywhere she goes and to order books or other things online. Plus she's not alway calling me to say she needs "money"!
