We were just in the area (Carmel) over this past weekend. It was glorious!

              Spring Break

Had two timeshares booked and ended up renting my Resort on Cocoa Beach in Mid March (right about now) which rented within 1 week through Redweek. Decided to go with a trade that I got last year by tradeing my little studio unit at Driftwood Inn. Excited as I traded the Driftwood inn with a MF of $400+ per year for a 2 bedroom, 2bath unit at the Grand Mayan in Cabo. The place looks gorgeous with your own plunge pool.

Hoping that since the 2 bedrm units go for over $650 per night that we will not get many wild spring breakers.

Let me know if anyone has stayed at the Mayan please. My husband, daughter and her boyfriend are going for a family trip to enjoy the Sun. We have had yucky dreary weather here in Nashville for a while.

                Just got back from Hawaii

We just returned from a glorious 10 days in Hawaii. Princeville (Alii Kai) was rainy and windy, but we were elsewhere most of the time. Then on to Wyndham Kona Hawaiian. Wonderful resort, wonderful time. Probably should've stayed there longer. Thanks to storms in eastern US we got to spend an extra day in Kona on Delta's dime, followed by a day in Vegas before they figured out how to get us home. No regrets besides wishing I was still there!

We are already on Spring Break. It is not our Spring Break but our son's and grandson's Spring Breaks. He is a coach at Midwestern State University and his son is in elementary school. Fortunately both of their Spring Breaks are at the same time. We arrived in Texas to be with them and the other grandkids last Friday and will go back home next Monday. We are having a great time visiting.

We're home saving money for college. (Actually, I don't think my oldest really wants to go anywhere anyway because he is cognizant of the fact that his friends will all be in different places next year and he wants to have as much time with them now as possible.)

Thank goodness we bought that timeshare ten years ago so that we have a nice place to go within driving distance at least once a year!

Not going anywhere for Spring Break, but heading to WDW in 7 weeks so I won't complain.

I avoid going anywhere when kids are out of school. We like to vacation when the locations are quiet and crowd-free.

I agree with you 100%. We avoid all holidays, spring breaks, and summer. The only exception is we go to New York City in the summer and we have gone to Canada 3 times in the summer because of weather.

Sure, I come here to TN, and you leave the state. Well make me feel bad. Just kidding, but when you left, did you take the warm weather with you?

Off To St. Augustine Beach, Florida

We are leaving for St. Augustine Beach and The Beach Club for 3 weeks of fun in the sun, walking the beach, and tennis every day, beginning on Friday March 19th.

While this week in Brookfield, WI was great with sun and temps in the 60's, Saturday a 5 to 7 inch snow storm is coming to Brookfield with temps in the 40's for a week.

Heading to Panama City Beach on the 27th. Rented from VBRO again. Hope the temps warm up soon!! It will suck if the weather does not cooperate, since I plan to spend my time laying on the beach or near the pool.

The end of June we will be heading to Disney to watch our son wrestle at The Wide World of Sports. Hopefully staying at The Fountains. Have to wait til May 1 to make those ressies.

Would love to get some time in at Big Cedar, but still trying to figure out how. I asked in another thread.

                                Happy St Pat's Day!!
