    Spring training anyone?

Glad to see there are a few people planning to go to Florida. Are you planning to watch any of the spring training?

      I believe u called this a stay-cation!

There are fabulous deals now in Atlantic City - are they offering the same deals at Vegas Hotels?

Excited as I traded the Driftwood inn with a MF of $400+ per year for a 2 bedroom, 2bath unit at the Grand Mayan in Cabo. The place looks gorgeous with your own plunge pool.

Hoping that since the 2 bedrm units go for over $650 per night that we will not get many wild spring breakers.

Let me know if anyone has stayed at the Mayan please. My husband, daughter and her boyfriend are going for a family trip to enjoy the Sun. We have had yucky dreary weather here in Nashville for a while.
I haven't stayed in Cabo but Grand Mayan anywhere is fabulous!
You will all enjoy the trip to this luxurious resort.

We are using our week at the Resort on Cocoa Beach this year. The last 2 years spring break we have traded for Grand Mayan in Cabo.

This is a beautiful resort. Every room has an ocean view. The pool is gorgous. First year was not heated but last year they managed to heat somewhat. There are many restaraunts within walking distance in San Jose del Cabo. Wonderful town old Mexico charm. We went to Cabo the first year and did not go the second year. We preferred San Jose.

We purchased the Los Cabos Restaraunt coupons and thought they were quite a deal. You have to prepay but are discounted by about 35%. I read resteraunt reviews and purchased for resteraunts in San Jose.

We purchased groceries at the Mega. About a 10 minute walk from the Grand Mayan and a $5 cab ride back.

Lots of outdoor beds around the pool and beautiful ocean views. Ocean is not swimable. You will enjoy the resort!

I have no idea when spring break is (no kids) but we leave for Maui this week-end and will be there over Easter so kids should be out of school. It doesn't bother me because we fly before and after the rush. We will be there four weeks and we are looking forward to it.

I get deals in my email every day. They are almost giving rooms away. And my local casinos are giving away premium buffets and steak dinners! We ate at the Silverado Steakhouse and the M Buffet both at B1G1 recently.

So were/are we. Came on Saturday to the Hyatt Monterey. Sunday we went down to Hearst Castle and overnight at San Luis Obispo. Nice and warm there at just under 80! Now we're back at the Hyatt to finish out the week in the sun here.

New York City. Perfect in the spring; most days are sunny and warm but not too hot. One day will surely be hot enough for a walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, and several days will be just perfect for a stroll in the streets or in Central Park. In fact, spring and fall are my favorite times to visit NYC. A week in an RHC timeshare in the Crowne Plaza Times Square, and a day at the Hotel Mela in the same area.

Vacation Village at Weston Florida for our annual family vacation but both my daughters and their families are not coming this year.

I will be leaving tomorrow and staying 1 week at Surfside in Pompano Beach and visiting friends and relatives. My wife and stepson will come down for 10 days after I check us in at vacation village.

I will have my cell phone on all the time just in case I need to leave early.

                          March break is over ....

We ended up driving done to Barrier Island Station, Duck, NC.
                          from Toronto....
Called RCI and asked for advice, what is available for this week, they
suggested this resort. Have to admit, it was 6 days prior to MB....
                          Do not trust them anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is ready to be demolished......
Pool is disgustingly dirty, got pictures....unit is lack of cleaning as well,
but we got 2 microwaves...the built in does not work....and so on....
Lost my deposit with RCI, since point owner, had to call and pay higher exch. fee, got a ruined vacation....

That is a LONG ride to end up being disappointed.

I NEVER go by the descriptions/recommendations of the exchange comopanies. I ask here, look for reviews here and on TUG, go to trip advisor and take all these into consideration. The only time I got burnt was Connemara Country Cottages in western Ireland thru RCI (I believe it was the particular cottage we had - no central heat as it was broken as they told us when we checked in and unacceptable bathroom conditions) - but we managed to get a same day check-in elsewhere thru II so the trip was salvaged and made for some fun stories afterwards.

Hope u were able to laugh thru it and enjoy the area - I understand it is beautiful.

                              make the most of it.....

                              Thank you for the advice.
In the future I will definitely ask here first.
However, this was 6 days before SB......you get the leftover....
Well, the kids are happy, like the pool, in their opinion it is not dirty, it is sea water in it, I have to adopt their attitude and just laugh.
We did day trips, took a ferry ride, but everything is closed her, blue season...
We did lots of arts and crafts...So the kids are happy and got wireless internet,
I can get on TS 4ms to get my addiction satisfied....

Have a great MB everybody, and get the best out of the worst resorts too

We are near Andrews AFB awaiting seat availability to carry us to Travis AFB where we will await seat avalability to Honolulu.

Our vacation will then begin. One week Kauai, 3-Maui, 2-Hawaii, then more enjoyment Oahu while awaiting seat availability to Main side, Portland we hope... to visit son and grandkids.

                                When is Spring Break anyway????

We'll go check out cherry blossums this afternoon, if no seats available today.
