            Heard from Pam today.

She said, "Thank you for your concern. I am recovering but seem to hit lots of complications."

Now, I find you all know already.

I had a bilateral skin spareing mastectomy with skin expanders in place. They will exchange the expanders for implants this year. Could have been completed sooner but I had so many complications my reconstruction was last on my list LOL.

My fingers and toes are crossed as well. I had my last Dr. appt before vacation tuesday. My overnight hospitalization with tests last week went well, and though I am not the same and am slow due to hip, wrist hurts, chemo aftereffects, steroid aftereffects etc...........At this moment I am free of cancer. ( Oh boy that is scary to type, like a jinx thing).

Hubby arrives tomorrow and hopefully all goes well and we leave very early sat. morning for 2 weeks. I am happy, excited, overwhelmed, and nervous over the vacation all at the same time. Guess illness does a number on your psyche. My Dr. says you can be afraid to be away from your hospital and dr's, just in case. Sounds sensible to me.

We invited my parents to come with us ( our timeshare is georgeous we are going to). First they said nah you and hubby need time alone, but I told them it has been a long year and between my illness and your young ages who knows how many years of vacation any of us have left. Plus I need lots of support to help me get back to some kind of normalcy and fun in life. So they are coming I am so happy, as they were so helpful to me thru all this.

Now that as usual I have rambled, remember 2 weeks vacation starting sat. and then hubby here another week ( with lots of Dr. appts), so might not be posting for 3 weeks, please do not worry. If I am up to it, I'll post briefly while away.

Love and gratitude to you all

                            Pam,
I am so happy that you are going away for a 2 week vacation. I don't know anyone more deserving than you. Just forget your troubles and do as little as you can get away with.

Hope the weather cooperates and you have the best vacation ever. This is a big leap for you after these last months. You go, girl.

                                Have a great trip!

I too want to wish you a wonderful vacation. Just a change of scenery and knowing that you are able to go on a trip should be such a great feeling. Enjoy having your husband and parents there and take it easy - that is what vacations are all about.
