  • aliikai2 Wife in Hospital

Hi guys - I just read this on TUG and since I did not see a post here, I wanted to share it with you all. Greg has been so helpful to many of us and we need to remember him and Joyce in our prayers.

Maybe some of you live in San Diego and can check on him.

I left a post on TUG earlier but would like to add that I am keeping them in my thoughts and prayers. It is apparent how very much he loves Joyce.

Greg was in Puerto Vallarta. How sad that this had to happen while they were on vacation. I hope that his wife will recover soon and that Greg will take care of himself.

May his wife recover quickly. It's also important for Greg to maintain his strength and health during this time. My thoughts and prayers will be with them.

Her Echo cardo says her heart is fine

Hi all, finally got interent access,
                  so,
last Wednesday morning Joyce woke up having trouble breathing, we called the Dr and he took one look at her and said we need to get to the hospital NOW!!
He and some of the resort staff help load Joyce into his suv and her drove like a man possessed to Coorner Stone Hospital, where the took her into the er immediatly.
The did cpr and put her on a ventolator, and treated her for a plumanary clot.
On Saturday morning they flew us out via air ambulance to San Diego, and took us to Scripps Mercy hospital.
She is getting better, they have ruled out the clot idea, her heart looks good, they told me today that she is having a serious COPD event, and that we will be here a while before she comes of the vent.

Our oldest daugher will be arriving in a hour or so, will be nice, this has only been a week, it seems like months.

I am trying to eat and get sleep, I will be ok, a few pounds lighter, not a weight loss program I can recommend.

Thank you all for you wishes and prayers, I will try o keep current on updates,

                  Thanks for posting Phyllis,

                  Greg

It is scary enough to have to deal with a medical emergency when you are alone and doubley so in a foreign country.

I am glad to hear it was not a pulmonary embolism and that they will soon be weaning her off the vent.
My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
