  • When was the last time you sent someone flowers?

    No time like the present...

I send my 88 yo step mom (she's been that for 64 years) for Christmas, her birthday, maybe Mom's day. She lives in IL and we are in SW FL. I'd rather send her flowers now than when she dies (but probably will do that then too, if we can't get up there). No, NOW is a good time. Thanks for the reminder.

My mom passed in 1986 and dad in 1990. It was several years after that that when I remarried that a lovely mother in law became part of my life. I often send her flowers "Just Because."

She will then call and say "don't waste your money." I can her the smile in her voice. Yes, there has never been a better time.

I always send them to my mom and mil for Mother's Day. The first time I did it for Mom she commented on how pleased she was, since "no one" ever sent her flowers.

I send them to my wifes job for all our holidays but during the month I buy her flowers for the house or to place on the dinner table.

I'm with Frank. Delivery is for "special occasions" but we nearly always have flowers on the table from the local shop.

I sent flowers to a friend recently who was recovering from surgery. She said they made her cry--that was not my intent--but she was very touched by the gesture.

I sent to all my aunts and uncles at Christmas.

I received flowers from my kids and a girlfriend for my birthday.

My husband never sends/gives me flowers..... but he doesn't complain when I buy TSs

I LOVE flowers but Cody GF eats them so I have to kind of jockey them around the house to keep them out of reach!

I am smelling some beautiful hyacinth in an arrangement in front of me right now....just love it!

I don't send flowers so much anymore, but I do pick them up, and bring to them to friends all the time. There are so many many places that sell fresh flowers these days, that I often pick some up when going to dinner, or visiting a friend, etc.......I just love, love, fresh flowers!

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I am allergic to most scents (give me migraines and some make my throat close up) so I can't have them in the house.
Every year I sent flowers to my SIL's mother on her birthday - a lovely lady. She passed a few years ago and I rarely send flowers anymore. She loved to receive them. Also, every year for Christmas I bought her an "old lady" cardigan sweater. I still go by and finger them each year when I go Christmas shopping.

                          No, honest she didn't.

But I got some "out of the blue" flowers today (the bouquet is actually called "Make My Day" and it did!). It made me tear up a bit, in a good way. I think it's even better than the "expected" occasions.

I am not a big flower fan as my mom would never send them and she would not let me send her flowers as she said "they just die" but she loved it when I got her clothes or a simple piece of jewelry or some candy. I've only received flowers once , after a first date. They arrived at work and I smiled all day long. I also used to date a man who hated to send flowers but liked to give little gifts instead.

If anyone wants to send me flowers to remind me how it feels , please feel free to do so. shaggy

I sent some to a friend who was in the hospital, about six or eight months ago.
