    Fern,
Thanks for the advice on bringing lots of loose fitting, light sportshirts for our trip here to Vegas It has been HOT!!!!!
But, you know I will take the real hot here over the humid hot in the east any day.
We have been having a great time. Leave Friday for Flagstaff for a week./

Glad you are having a good time! Its about 10-12 degrees above normal right now. And the humidity is slightly up, too...its about 15% now. That doesn't sound like much, but in the summer, long as it isn't raining, humidity can be as low as 5-7%. I don't know if you've ever swim in humidity that low, but when you do, shiver when you get out of the water!

Its 10:15Am, and its 91.0 at the airport and 97.5 in Henderson/Anthem, which is odd. Its usually *less* here, not more.

We visited Vegas over the July 4th a few years ago. It was HOT. But, the most surprising thing was the parking garages. They seem like pizza ovens. Collecting heat all day and then through out the night they are still cooking. One night at 1 am, the temp outside was down to the mid 80s but when you drove into the parking garage the temp soared to almost 100.

Yes, the parking garages are hot if there is no wind. I wouldn't expect them to waste air conditioning on them. Its bad enough, IMHO, that the resorts waste water by misting the tourists while they wait in the valet pickup area. And it *is* a waste of water in a water conserving area.

If it was in the low to mid-80's at 1Am, you were lucky indeed. Usually it doesn't get that low till about 6AM. I've seen it 105 at midnight, and most often in the mid to high 90'.
