If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Don't let yourself get worked up over Marriott. I will figure it out and everyone on Timeshare Forums is going to have new ways of getting great Marriott vacations for cheap.
I am fascinated at the whole debate and the approach Marriott has taken with their new point system. I must admit, it's nothing close to what I expected.

I am curious to what u thought it would have been?
My take was that it would be VERY similar to Starwood - giving the same value to all weeks in a season/view category at a resort, home resort 'advatage/priority' as Starwood/DVC and the same value assignments to 'equitable' resorts - with 2 to 4 levels - again similar to Starwood.
Never EVER expected the skim, those b*****d!

I thought it would similar to every other points overlay system out there.
They all seem to either skim somewhere or charge ala carte pricing for service such as exchanges. HGVC charges a smaller membership fee and small prices for everything other than reserving your home week. DRI charges extra points for nightly stays or arrivals on non-traditional arrival/departure days and, they charge a few ala carte fee's for other services.
Marriott took a unique, in your face approach. Personally, I don't like it. I have learned that there are a few advantages but, I worry what the fee's will be like in two or three years. Our timeshare and other photo's at http://dougp26364.smugmug.com/

OK, I'll look forward to your input, and help.
