Congratulations! There is a really fun resort called Woodloch Pines around there. They offer day rates there for people in the area, if you want something different to do.

Thank you for all the well wishes and thoughts. We have been thinking of a vacation home for quite awhile but never had enough money to put a large sum down (at 50+ we don't want a significant mortgage). My dear father-in-law passed away a few months ago and left a considerable sum of money for his family. It was enough to pay for 2/3 of the home and we had enough saved for the other 1/3. Our main home is paid off, so, as long as nothing major goes wrong, the added expenses of a second home won't be too much of a burden (not unlike the rising MFs of our two week TS!). It's small (I prefer cozy), but there's enough room to sleep 6. The best part is that we don't have to make a reservation, use our points or hope for an available week. We can go on the spur of the moment and don't even have to pack a suitcase. I feel truly blessed to have this home.
