      My son lives in Ocala and he's really upside down in the house he bought. He said it is worth about 60% of what he paid for it. The up side is that he has no mortgage and he does have a large lot. He's hoping it will eventually come back; he's not looking to make a killing, but would like to know he is at least even.

        I too, live in AZ. We bought a foreclosure house in July 2008 and until about March this year, there seemed to be houses for sale all around our subdivision. I was just noticing yesterday that there is only 1 for sale sign in the neighborhood and all the houses are occupied. I hope it stays that way. I know that other neighborhoods still have several signs on every street.

        Our son is planning to move from Kansas City to the Phoenix metro area and so I am on the look-out for good deals a few miles from us.
