What are you doing over the last summer holiday?

If I'm lucky I'll get to go to Sunset Beach and watch the storm bring in the shells so I can then go pick them up. If not lucky I'll take Kelli & my neice to Wet & Wild in Greensboro on Sunday . shaggy

We never travel because the kids like to attend Boomsday on Sunday. It's the biggest fireworks display of the year in Knoxville.

Saturday DD is coming home to buy her wedding dress and then I'm going to a private party DH is playing at.

Kept trying to win free tickets to Dollywood for Monday, but failed. This is the first year in probably 25 we haven't had season passes. Glad we skipped a year as hot as it was all summer. 68 days over 90 degrees. Last year it was 11.

We're heading up to our new vacation home on Lake Wallenpaupak . Hopefully the weather will be nice. We have a lot of outside work to do. Will still take time to sit on the deck with a glass of wine and watch the deer.

          Nothing.

Younger dd leaves to go back to school tomorrow and older dd comes home for a short 2 week visit on Monday. I'll be resting.

Watch Earl pass by . Monday we will drive up to Washington DC for the Virginia Tech/Boise State game. We'll drive home Tuesday and fly out early Wednesday for an Alaska cruise.

Our end of summer holidays came a week earlier here than back in the states.

We spent the long weekend at Lake Balaton, Hungary, with overnight stopovers in Vienna both directions.

Although Labor Day is officially the end of summer vacation season for many, colleges and several school districts now start before Labor Day, putting a damper on weekend plans. My DD#2 started college 2 weeks ago, while DD#1 started last Monday. While both have no classes on Monday, they are knee-deep in homework/projects already. So DH and myself will be spending the weekend alone.
We haven't done that since BK (before kids!)

Seems a little boring this holiday! We were to be at our Lake Tahoe unit for the week but sold it to another owner while up there for our fourth of July week.

Little DD just moved to Dallas Texas area couple weeks ago so wife has already booked our next week off to fly to Texas. Guess these trips will replace one of our week in Lake Tahoe from now on.

DD will have to come visit us in Lake Tahoe our next stay there.

We have been in Panama City Beach all week unfortunately we will have to check out Saturday morning so guess we will be heading home. The water looks so calm this morning and the weather has been really nice considering how it started last weekend with rain.

Everyone have a fun and save Labor Day Weekend!!

I am retired so holiday weekends have no special significance. We always stay home to avoid the crowds during holiday periods. We will lounge around the pool and BBQ this weekend.

Going to one of my fixed weeks at my favorite little beach pad.

Unfortunately I have to work on Labor Day (low man on the totem pole thing)
but the rest of the week is Hollywood beach.
