If they were good quality, you can get the feathers washed, fluffed, and put into new covers. I had this done several times to my mother's old goose feather pillows. Our local laundromat provided this service and it was well worth the cost.

Bedding has become a very competitive item with the hotels. Some of them do sell their bedding, mattresses, etc. If you find an item you really like, ask housekeeping if they sell it. I am talking about new items, not used ones.

We have purchased several items from hotels we stay at. They may have to order it for you.

Lawren, how do you like your pillows? I love them. They are soft, yet they don't crush. I ordered directly from the company and they came in under a week. Thanks for posting about them.

          Lawren and Fern,

I am in need of new pillows and am thinking of ordering these. How are they for neck support?

I had neck surgery related to a car accident, 2003. My neck still often bothers me. I sleep very well on these pillows, better than most any other.

              Fern,

I'm loving them! Maybe mine took a little longer because I went thru Amazon? They came this week and are so reminiscent of the down ones I'm been trying to replace. At $15 for a queen they were a bargain! I got 4 for what some companies want for one pillow.

I'm glad they work well for you too.

I think it depends on how you sleep. I'm a side sleeper and these will mold easily into a comfortable shape without crinkling or fighting back. They puff right back into shape too. I have no idea what a gel fiber pillow is but I'm liking it.

Anyone else find something in a timeshare that they needed to buy for their own use or am I the only nutcase on the board?

The pillows at the Wyndham I last stayed at were Sahara Nights by Sobel Westex. I ran around with that on the card key folder in my purse forever because when I first went to order they were out of stock.

Of course, I guess you could call the Wyndham you stayed at in Orlando and ask housekeeping. It is possible that they had different ones depending on refurbishment or that Wyndham Hotels use something other than Wyndham Vacation Resort timeshares.

And then at $15 for the the Sobel you can't really go wrong giving it a shot when the ones you reference are $50 each.

A good friend called me this morning and said she needed pillows.

She found a coupon that got her $8 off a pair of queen pillows from the Sobel Westex site. Code: Valpaklv It is good through December 2.

                          Thanks!!

I ordered two Queen size, using the coupon, which mostly offset the shipping charges.
Hope they are as good as claimed!!

DW brought home a sleeper-sofa and chair from our local Fairham not long ago.

                            $75 & $50, I believe.

                            Actually in very nice condition.

(Hope they are not missing them. )
