Looking for a good sofa bed

I want a queen size sofabed with a decent mattress for my new home in SC. All I have seen so far have the thin crappy mattresses. Any suggestions?

I would look into a thick futon sofa or one of the modern convertible day beds if it will be used by guests a lot. Another idea is a daybed with a trundle.

Select Comfort?

I've seen sofas, including one from Select Comfort, that have inflatable mattresses inside. The one I recall seeing was leather, comfortable and not inexpensive. I've seen a couple of others with inflatable mattresses by different manufacturers, but don't recall who made them.

Check out Norwalk Furniture. We have a full size sleeper sofa in our office that was made by this company. It is of excellent quality and the mattress is very comfortable.

A resort I own near Lake Tahoe recently changed all the sofabeds during an upgrade. They said the new ones are the same as used by the DVC resorts. I don't know if that is the case, but they are much more comfortable and do not have the typical bar in the middle of your back. They also open differently too.
