Twenty pounds should see us through a week or two. I hope! We have a pretty narrow lot, and a small driveway.

The temp was in the 40s today and most of our snow is melted but we had way less than you guys had. Only icy when we first got up. As soon as the sun was up, the ice and snow started to melt.

I hope we're done for the winter.

Around here, people are saying that Home Depot is the only store that still has some--and Home Depot is pretty far from us.

Tonight on the news they showed the marina docks that have collapsed at Truman Lake. That lake is before LOTO, to the NW, between LOTO and Kansas City.

It freezes over and the docks collapsed in one direction, through and under the ice, with the other fingers sticking up in the air at about a 45 degree angle. It did get warm enough for melting today.

Ours is still there, but under a lot of strain. We moved the boat out but have two jet skis still in it. The Water Patrol warned about clearing dock roofs, same precautions as we took. Work in pairs, stay tethered, wear a life jacket. I got as close as a ladder to the roof. Before climbing on I tested to see if any of the ice and snow would move, and it would not. So, I did not get on it.

Like Tony says, more snow and ??? on the way for us, too. No melting temps, either.

Alas, the nearest Stop and Shop is 20 minutes away, and Peapod doesn't deliver in my town. If I find some more, I'll definitely buy it--in the meantime I hope my emergency supplies from Amazon come soon! Even getting down the front steps was pretty hairy this morning.

Already 3 more inches and snow as far as I can see on NWS radar. & this is the light day.

All going on tops of the docks, of course.

Based on the Wal*Mart-ometer, we must be expecting the storm of the century.

                          Snowing like crazy again.

Some places nearby have gotten 24-30 inches overnight and this morning. National Guard out in NW Arkansas. Some roads closed there.

Lots of accidents. One fatal . . . 31-year-old Mom with the kids in the back seat. Kids saved by passers-by.
