  • exchanging for cruise

How likely is it to exchange for a cruise? I have 2 TS with good trading power.

It is very very rarely a good use of your exchanges to book a cruise. Better values are to be had. Of course if your weeks are not going to get used...

You will be much better off booking a cruise through a reputable discounter like vacationstogo.com. the cost will be the same ant won't include the value of the maintenance fees you paid for those weeks. It amazes me that exchange-for-cruise options are still Advertised!

Check the cruise discounters on the TS4MS links. That is where you will find deals. "Cruise exchanges" are a ripoff.

Go to the top of this page. In the blue bar, second from the left, bottom, you will find a drop down called "website navigation". There is an option for the Links Directory.

Generally speaking, you'll get the ~value of your MF's in return for a cruise exchange less the fee's for the exchange itself. It's never worked out to be a good deal for us but, we have used the option a few times when we wanted to cruise but had to many timeshare weeks that needed to be used. I no longer consider exchanging for a cruise through either RCI or I.I. To many fee's tacked on. With Interval, you have to pay for Interval Gold and pay the international exchange fee. Three of the four management companies we own with have internal cruise exchanges that work out better as far as value is concerned.
