  • My Great Niece is in remission

Had her PET scan the other day, waiting to have her port removed and she is back to life as usual. Pediatric oncologist told her to forget that she ever had Hodgekin's lymphoma. She will probably never get it again and if she does, they have excellent means to treat it. She will be followed up with tersts but she is free and clear right now.

She was diagnosed the 1st week of her senior year in Sept, missed school up until now, and returns in time for the senior class trip to Disney World, senior prom and graduation. How's that for a celebration?

I want to thank each and every one of you who included her in your prayers, added her to prayer chains, and offered thoughts up for her remission. We are all so grareful and Allison is happy to return to school to complete her senior year. She plans to attend college in Philly in Sept.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Wonderful news. I've heard that they feel that they can essentially cure Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Another wonderful example of modern medicine!

I had never heard that before but her oncologist was so positive that you couldn't help but trust that it is over and done with. Cancer research has come a long way.
