  • Has anyone been to Alexandria Bay, NY?

My DH and I will be going to a conference in Alexandria Bay at the end of August. Hotel is done. Since 2 were sold out, DH just quickly picked another on the list we were given. I'm not sure where we are staying. Has anyone ever been there? Any suggestions?

In the Thousand Islands? I've been there once, long ago. If you get a chance, definitely try to go on the boat tour where they show you all the little islands and Boldt Castle. I still remember it from when I was a teenager!

Yes, the 1,000 Islands. We also sent in our money to do the group boat tour.

My organization has had meetings there, at the River Edge. I have not been there personally but they all rave about it.

It's up by the Canadian border; the St. Lawrence Seaway is there. Lots of boating, beautiful scenery.

I had never heard of it either. But when my DH asked if I wanted to go, and we do not pay because he is representing his Fire Company, how can I say NO?

I'll be heading up that way this June. My DH went to St Lawrence University, and for the first time, we're going to a re-union.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

The ex and I used to go up there off-season to do a little camping and fishing. Beautiful area. Nice state parks. But probably not that much to do if you're staying more than a couple of days.
