My Coffee stunk this morning

Happens to me sometimes to with my Gevalia cone filter coffeemaker. I usually check to be sure the filter didn't fold over when I rotate the filter holder into place, but sometimes I disremember that.

I also use unbleached paper filters. The reusable gold ones don't retain all of the fines, so the last cup of coffee gets a sludge layer in the bottom.

I like camping coffee in the metal coffee pot on the propane stove. Yes it has some grinds in it, really it's just a little fiber. On a cold morning it really works.
