  • Margarita

Now let me first say I guess I lead a rather sheltered life. Generally I have one glass of wine if going out socially. Most of the time just water. Love Amaretto and Bailys Irish Cream-save that for New Years. Had my first Margarita in March at a Mexican restaurant nearby. Wow!!! I LOVED it. Now each week I want to stop and have a Margarita. It is sooooo good. Has anyone else found that they tried a Margarita and are now hooked? Tried a strawberry daiquiri the other night, did not enjoy it.

Having just returned from a late lunch with an excellent margarita - I heartily agree.

Oh yeah, I love a good margarita. However it took me many, many years before I'd try them on the rocks rather than blended. What a fool I was.

Yes, on the rocks--much better than blended.

Blended will give you brain freeze - not fun. Definitely on the rocks with as much salt as can be stuck on the rim of the glass.

Hmm, wonder if we have any tequila in the house?

I'm going to have to agree about the on the rocks. I didn't think I'd like-but I just this week got talked in to a watermelon margarita at a chain restaurant even and it was amazing..little chunks of watermelon. They sugared the rim as opposed to salt. It made the glass a little sticky-but otherwise it was delicious. So much so-I ordered another

Well now I learned something new, next time on the rocks-sounds good. Last night my daughter went to Chilis she said the Margarita was equally as good there as the Mexican restaurant that I like. So now I shall try a new place...and try on the rocks. Always fun to learn new things

Margaritas are my drink of choice. Not much of a drinker, but do like margaritas. We should have had some when we were in Maine.

I got talked into my first "on the rocks" in Las Vegas. The waiter promised me I'd like it, and if I didn't he bring me a blended one. Well, he was right and I haven't had to blended one since.

Tried one at Chilis yesterday. It was refreshing and cold. Outside it was very hot which made the drink even more refreshing. Price was 3.49...I think they forgot the liquor though.
