Raining today, I hope they get the schedule back on track in time for the semi's on Saturday. Hopefully you'll get some clear weather tomorrow.

I think you mean Ellen's Stardust - can be hit or miss with the singers, sorry it wasn't good. It's a fun spot to go with young kids, a less discerning audience. You need to get out of midtown

We have tickets for Th, Fri and Sat day sessions. It will be tough to get the semis in on Sat if they don't finish the 4th round and have the quarters tomorrow. I am sure they will try their best. I'm just going to go with the flow instead of getting stressed out.

Made dinner reservations for Uncle Jacks for Friday night. If anyone wants to come along, we will be there at 8 pm.

      Got tickets for Memphis tonight.

Going to find a great Indian Food restaurant for dinner tonight before Memphis. I think we will head over to curry hill.

Went to Darbar Grill for Indian. It was very good, but not the best. I give it a 7.0 or 7.5 on a 10 scale. Vegetable samosas are a 9 with fantastic sweet onion chutney. Had chicken vindaloo. Not hot at all and chicken was slightly over cooked. Naan was good, not excellent. Probably would not repeat. Didn't have time to go to Curry hill.

Memphis was great, but we preferred Jersey Boys.

Had a great day of tennis. Sunny all day. I didn't expect sun, so I didn't bring sunglasses. Believe it or not, I am slightly sunburned. 8 hours of great tennis. Nadal v. Muller. Isner v. Simon, Williams v. Pavlyuchenkova and Djokavic v. Tipsarevic. Excellent tennis all around. It felt like the old days with not a lot of people and tennis on outer courts easy to see. Only saw a bit of Roddick v. Ferrer because match got moved to court 13 from Louis Armstrong and it was jam packed.

Food was expensive and sucked. Never get the italian sausage and nachos. Very bad and expensive. I am okay with cheap and bad or expensive and great. But expensive and bad, really sucks.

Friday's session is rescheduled to Saturday night. That means I have no tickets for tomorrow's quarter finals. I am going to bring my tickets and see if I can argue my way into the stadium. I think it will work since my printed tickets say 9/9 at 11 am.

I'm glad we had tickets for the men's semi's and not the women's - we had an hour rain delay and the first match ran very long. They moved the first women's match to the Grandstand during the men's match (people with tix for both must have been really annoyed). I had to leave during Nadal/Murray and when I got home at 10 the Williams match still hadn't started.

I must agree with Jim, the food was absolutely awful. Probably the worst stadium food I've ever had and that is a low bar - it's inexcusable.

It was a star-studded event - we spotted Sarah Jessica Parker, Ben Stiller, Matthew Perry, Michael Douglas, Bradley Cooper (I didn't know who he was), and the guy who plays Saul from Brothers and Sisters.

Jim, I hope your tickets worked out.

Ron Rifkin and the show wasn't renewed.
              hope you had fun spotting!

Overpriced and really bad would cause me to bring/sneak in my own - even if only a peanut butter sandwich and some carrots just to have something edible...

You are allowed to bring food, just not bottles. Also bags cannot be larger than 12" x 12" or you have to deal with a really annoying locker thing (made that mistake last year). I thought about bringing food after Boca's post, but I didn't think the men's would run through dinner. If we're lucky enough to go back next year, I'm bringing plenty of PB&J!
