I appreciate the Happby BD messages very much, but I appreciate TS4MS even more. What a great group of folks that enhabit this internet niche!!
Didn't have much of a birthday. Had committee metings in the state capitol Tuesday through Friday and Rita stayed home to ferry our grandchild Zac to his football practice and to attend the 7th grade game (with his parents) being held in an adjoining county.
Most House members have 3 committee assignments. A few have four. I Have ended up with six committee assignments plus co-chairing (with a Senator) the Capitol Projects Advisory Board. During the interim between regular sessions the committees meet monthly, so I am at the capitol a great deal of the time. I am glad that I purchased a condominium there almost three years ago.
So, I ended up 260 miles from home all week while Rita got to attend Zac's game. He is the quarterback for his 7th grade team and also plays a defensive back, so he ends up playing each minute of every game. Apparently he has played football games on his PS3 for so long that he is able to recognize breaking plays when on defense, and shift to take advantage of what is about to happen. The coach has told him that he is ready to do an audible when play calls for it, so apparently he has a pretty good grasp of the game overall. You could put what I know about it in a thimble and have room left over for the bill of rights.
