  • I find this slightly disturbing

I love the disposable toilet bowl cleaning products. They work well and you throw the pads out each time. Yes they may cost a bit more but I never liked the toilet brush scenario.

Anyway, I was just at that point in my cleaning routine today and was getting a new brush out of the sealed pack when the warning caught my eye.

DO NOT USE fOR PERSONAL HYGIENE.

I would suppose that if anyone was going to use it for personal hygiene, they probably lack the ability to read and therefore the warning is a waste of ink.

Its no more disturbing than the warning on suppositories..."DO NOT TAKE ORALLY."

Then there is the one about the old lady in the hospital who asked the nutrition person "for some more of that Kentucky Jelly" for breakfast. He didn't know what she wanted. So she said, "Wait a moment, I have one packet left," and showed him a packet of KY Jelly.

Heading to Disney soon - please let all the people that I interact with on the plane, crowded buses, lines, etc take the advise!

As for the toilet brush - I won't tell you vision that put in my head for the fear of insulting someone!

            advice vs advise

            advice vs advise

Advice is a noun, which means an opinion that someone offers you about what you should do or how you should act in a particular situation.
For example: "I need someone to give me some advice."

Advise is a verb, which means to give information and suggest types of action.
For example: "I advise everybody to be nice to their teacher."
...In British English the noun form often ends in ...ice and the verb in ...ise.

                This one disturbs me

Amalgam dental fillings - the Material Safety Data Sheet:

8 - PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING & USE
Steps to be taken in case material is released or spilled: Isolate the area and
begin clean-up immediately. Do not touch spilled material. Cover all liquid
droplets with a commercially available mercury vapor suppressant such as HG-X
or elemental sulfur. Collect the droplets using specialized mercury vacuum
                cleaners.
Waste Disposal Method: Material should not be allowed to enter sewers.
All scrap mercury liquid and set alloy must be sent for reclamation by a
                commercial metal recycling facility.
Precautions to be taken in handling and storing: Store in a cool, dry place
                away from ignition sources.
Other precautions: Use according to directions. Wash hands thoroughly before
                smoking or eating.
... I guess this means that if I lose a filled tooth I should make sure I don't drop it down the toilet and should delivery it to the nearest scrap metal dealer.

Coca-Cola is a hazardous waste as soon as you decide you don't want it any more.

As long as you intend to drink it it's not a waste and is perfectly safe. But as soon as you discard it meets criteria to be classified as a hazardous waste. So if you pour it down your drain, you are violating the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act and could be fined $25,000 for each day that you pour it down the drain.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

                  “You shouldn't wear that body.”
