  • We made it, safely.

ZigZagged west and north to visit near Allentown.

Headed eastward to visit, then up through the Berkshires and on to Bennington, Vermont.

ZigZagged east and north to Camden, ME. (See "At The Landing" under Travel Tales.)

Held up 2-nights at Bar Harbor for a tour of Arcadia NP.

Visited while running down the coast.

Ventured a drive on west side of Central Park, down Broadway with all it's detours, along Battery Park and back to cross Broklyn Bridge and over to Staten Island.

After 2003 miles, we rested in our own bed. We missed the snow.

I am glad that you made it home safely too. The weather is so changeable lately. I liked the photo of Carrol that you posted the other day.

Enjoy your trips and I hope that your house is being worked on so that it will be ready before winter really sets in.

Glad you made it home. That was some trip. I put 1000 miles on the mini in 1 week. That was just NC & TN. Can't wait to hear more about your trip and see your pics. Hugs, Shaggy

It sounds like you and Carol had a wonderful trip. You certainly covered a lot of territory! Thankfully you missed the bad weather, with its accompanying treacherous driving conditions. Welcome home!

We enjoyed 3 places enough to spend 2 to 3 days... Bennington, VT, Camden and Bar Harbor, ME. We liked the quaintness.

We got rain and wind so ended the stay in NYC. Enjoyed driving Broadway and running the highways from Manhatten to Brooklyn to Staten Island. Got to view a nicely backlit Manhatten skyline as the sun was going down.

Driving Broadway reminded me of bumper cars as a kid. Only this time it was "can I fit without a bump!" Quite a rush at times.
If you can't stand being cut off, I recommend not driving there.
