  • Figuring out the value of old paintings/reprints

I have several paintings and reprints, all framed that I have inherited throughout the years. I am not sure if they are worth any money. How would I go about this? I have tried looking up on the internet, but I don't find much.

I just went through this - if you know the artist's name it's helpful - there are some auction sites that will give you access to recent auction info if you sign up. Free to join for basic info, a step up fee for other info or to list. But what a gallery gets and what you might get are very different worlds - I am going to end up donating unwanted pieces and taking the deduction for the value instead. Unfortunately, the art market is saturated and it's rare for pieces to retain much value. Anything print that's not signed has no value, I can tell you that.
