  • RIP Donna Summers

Donna Summers died this morning at the age of 63 after a battle with cancer.

She was always one of my very favorites in the disco era.

    Yes, I just saw that.

Seems to be a lot of that going around.

It's just not the ones you sorta hope it would be.

Its always sad to hear about people being struck down with cancer and an unexpected death is always sad....But to be fair, 63 is REALLY REALLY old, at that age, you're just fighting the clock

Out of all the disco artists of the 70s, Donna was one I actually enjoyed. In small doses. We'd go slumming uptown to 54 every once in a blue moon and you were always bound to hear one of her hits.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I was a 'disc jockey' in the mid 70's and played many of her records.
It has been nice to listen to some of her music that is being played in her memory.

If you promise not to talk about our age and health issues, we'll promise not to talk about your youth and stupidity. Deal?

Ride, you should be tarred and feathered or at least hung from the nearest tree.

I'm with Lauren, I needed that!!
