We are in the middle of a heat wave here in NY. Tuesday I was travelling upstate to Watkins Glen (beautiful area, by the way and the Harbor Hotel at Watkins Glen is just lovely).
The temperature in the car was set to 72. It was 99 degrees outside when we stopped for lunch. We were only in the restaurant for about half an hour. When I came back out to the car, the GPS screen had shattered. It was on the console so I know it wasn't dropped. Behind the broken screen you couldn't read the writing at all.
I am thinking perhaps the rapid change in temperature from cool to hot caused this? My laptop was in the trunk and it was fine.
