    First day of school tomorrow

    Sorry to see the summer end but I am ready to get the boys out the door tomorrow to start 2nd and 7th grades.
    Hopefully it will be a good 2013/14 year for all the moms, dads, and other caretakers and their DD's and DS's.

    Good luck! My district starts on the 3rd, but many here aren't starting until the 9th because of the Jewish holiday.

      Happy first day of school, and cheers to a great school year with the boys......I have to admit tho, summer is too short for me, so Labor Day always comes too quickly.

            Schools here started a week ago. We have friends in Phoenix, and they started 3 weeks ago!

              Started here a week ago also. I never remember school starting so soon. I know the kids get more breaks during the year but starting Aug. 16th just seems wrong.

                    We did too. I'll never understand why the "hot" cities start in August...maybe because it's just hot all the time and doesn't matter. I've been back 5 weeks now. Boo!

                    Both of my college kids started today. Different colleges but same start date. Fun to hear their impressions of their classes and professors.
